Microsoft telah mendedahkan bahawa setiap versi moden Windows termasuk Windows Server 2003/2008/2012,Vista,7,8,8.1 dan Windows RT mengalami"kelemahan ketara" yang membolehkan penggodam mengubahsuai paket dan mencetuskan kod pada mesin tanpa menggunakan akaun yang berlesen.

Microsoft telah memberi respons kepada kelemahan ini dengan melancarkan patch , yang menurut syarikat itu adalah satu-satunya muat turun yang boleh menyelesaikan isu ini.
Patch tersebut boleh dimuat turun menggunakan Windows Update , atau terus ke web utama microsoft
